Rientro, rovisto ancora, giro quei pesanti fogli uno dopo l’altro.

Disegno bordi liquidi su maglia rigida… non so…

Non so mai!

Ho imparato molto.

Browsing through the little shed next to the carpenter’s workshop, where no one has been in for a long time, among the various sheets of laminate piled up and well ordered, left there since the 70s: that magnificent simple grill, that simple sheet of ant with elementary squares, where it all starts….

I come out of the shed, I think.

I go back, rummaging again, turning those heavy sheets one after the other.

Here, I find more, two sheets drawn with those magnificent enzymes, those magical molecules.

Even here everything starts….

I come out of the shed, the images of those giants pass through my body, the works of those masters that those laminates thought of them.

Emotion, fear …….

I call Ennio, I tell him with these sheets we could do something good. Ennio tells me: draw, they were waiting for you.

Then everything dies there.

I think I can’t help it, I can’t waste those precious sheets …..

Months later with many doubts I draw Histogram n.34, “tomb for architects, children’s table”.

I leave them the first drafts, they don’t convince me, I hope they mature.

Drawing liquid edges on rigid mesh … I don’t know …

Then after months I trace a cross inside a square, I don’t know yet but it convinces me.

Then I draw with four pure forms the meeting with those molecules, I don’t know yet but it went like

this ……….

I never know!

But the children know and will be able, by sitting and lying down, to write the love poem in that squared notebook, still white, white, fragrant, pure. …………

I thank Ennio, master of wood. Fiorella’s help and Edo and Fede’s support.

The alchemy behind the processing of the ant is magic, applied art.

Glues, thinners, jaws, hammered sweets and above all a millimetric craftsmanship that leaves no room for error.

Thanks for the nice work nights, we had a good time.

I learned a lot.
